Hello
Ilysa Keeley, LCSW
I am an experienced multi-disciplinary trauma therapist and coach, specializing in EMDR. I’m a licensed clinical social work therapist in the state of New Jersey, holding certifications in EMDR, Co-Active Coaching, and Integrative Mental Health Medicine. I have worked to develop, implement, and coordinate the Advanced Applications of Integrative Medicine for Mental Health, Levels 1, 2 and 3, at The Leslie Korn Institute.
Having received my Masters in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Vermont, I am a humanitarian at heart. Over the past twenty-five years, I have worked in a multitude of settings ranging from public and home education, adult outpatient, adult psychiatric acute care, non-profit crisis health and pregnancy, and currently, the private practice setting. These diverse settings afforded me an opportunity to work with children, teens, young adults, and adults, conducting individual, couples, family and group therapy.
My integrative journey began when clients started asking my thoughts about psychiatric medications. I researched the effects of essential oils like vetiver, lavender, and bergamot on mental health and then educated and suggested these for my clients as steps to take before prescription medication. Years later, as my integrative work has expanded into additional therapies, my clients have seen much success and I am so glad to bring this service to the community through direct services and clinical trainings.
As the only introvert in a large family of seven, in my free time I enjoy quiet time gardening, walks by the water, reading and going to the beach. My home is usually bustling with friends and family and I love to make everyone feel welcome.
Hi, I’m Ilysa.
